Intro to Red Dot – Pistol (Spring 2026)

This is a beginner to intermediate level course designed for shooters who are new to pistol-mounted red dot optics or looking to improve their performance.

Course Topics Include:

• Red dot fundamentals, advantages, and setup

• Zeroing concepts and point of aim/point of impact

• Finding the dot consistently through proper presentation

• Dry fire drills to build consistency and efficiency

• Live fire drills focused on practical application

Course Format:

Approximately 2 hours of classroom instruction and 4 hours of live fire training

Required Equipment:

• Pistol with mounted red dot optic (loaners may be available)

• Eye and ear protection

• Minimum 200 rounds of ammunition

• Holster (IWB or OWB)

• Weather-appropriate range clothing
